Ideas for Proposing on Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve has been voted the most popular day for couples to get engaged in the UK, and it is easy to see why. Christmas is often viewed as the season of love and devotion - with warm fires, fairy lights and feelings of appreciation and devotion at an all time high. According to Facebook, a third of couples get engaged between November and December. Alongside this, a survey conducted by Chillisauce (Stag and Hen do tour operators) stated that 31% of people said they would choose to propose on Christmas Eve.  

So, how do you plan the perfect Christmas Eve proposal? There's so much to consider, from finding the perfect diamond engagement ring to deciding when and where you're going to pop the question. First things first, you need to think about the engagement ring. Some couples prefer to shop for the ring once someone's got down on one knee - if that works for you then that's great. However, some prefer to surprise their beau with a diamond engagement ring. When it comes to choosing the perfect engagement ring, you should consider their tastes and personality. If they're reserved and refined, then a solitaire round cut diamond with a smaller carat may suit them. If they're outgoing then a trilogy engagement ring with pear cut diamonds will suit.

If your girl/boyfriend has strong family values, then proposing on Christmas Eve is the perfect time of year to bring everybody together. It will help bond both side of the family, making them feel like they're involved in this huge step.
