New Year’s Resolutions for 2018
From going to the gym to wearing that diamond necklace, here are our fave New Year’s Resolutions!
The start of 2018 marks the beginning of a brand new start for hundreds of people across the UK. As we leave December being full of turkey, wine and cheese, it's time to make those new year's resolutions and become your best self in 2018. From getting in shape for your 2018 wedding, to eating a little healthier, or saving up for that sparkling diamond pendant you've always wanted, here are some new year's resolutions that you can easily achieve!
Get in Shape for Your Wedding
One of the most common new year's resolutions for many people is to lose weight, alongside hitting the gym and eating much healthier. For many brides-to-be their aim is to get in shape and feel confident in their wedding dress. Getting into shape doesn't mean you can't enjoy a takeaway, some chocolate or a glass of wine ever again, it's all about moderation. Create a healthy eating plan with meals you enjoy, join a gym or being exercising - you'll soon get those much needed endorphins. When it comes to walking down the aisle and exchanging wedding rings, you'll feel like your best self.
Use that Gym Membership
According to The Mirror, the UK wastes £558m on unused gym memberships, and 11% of people admit they're paying for a membership that they haven't used in a year! Make 2018 the year of frivolity - either make the most of your money and visit the gym at least once a week or cancel it and exercise for free. Exercise releases serotonin which will improve your mood, sexual desires and overall wellbeing. Just remember to remove your jewellery before exercising - sweat tarnishes metals, and you'll be limiting any jewellery and sport related injuries!
Clean and Organise Your Jewellery Box
Jewellery holds a lot of sentimental value for many people, and diamonds don't come cheap. However, you'd be surprised at how little care is taken when it comes to looking after and cleaning jewellery. Knowing how to clean your diamond engagement ring and stopping your jewellery from being damaged is half the battle - making sure you then wear your diamond tennis bracelet or solitaire diamond earrings is the next battle!
Wear that Statement Piece of Jewellery
We've all got that item of clothing in our wardrobe or piece of jewellery that we're in love with, but is a little outside of our comfort zone. Whether you were gifted a sparkling gemstone necklace that you've yet to wear, or you managed to bag a beautiful pair of diamond drop earrings that you need to have the confidence to wear, it's time to be the best version of yourself, put all your worries aside and wear your statement jewels with pride!
Quality Over Quantity
This year it's time to walk away from tacky high street jewellery that turns your skin green and save your pennies for a good quality piece of jewellery that will withstand the test of time. If you're planning on wearing a pair of sleeper diamond hoops all day everyday, high-street purchased hoops won't wear nearly as well as a pair of 18-carat gold hoops. However, you want to make sure that you're not getting yourself into thousands of pounds worth of debt, so start saving those pennies and they'll soon amount into pounds!
